UPDATE 1/WELL MARKED LPA
DATE: 19 MAR 2022 | DAY: SATURDAY 
TIME: 3:00PM BST (+6 GMT)

The Low Pressure Area over South West  Bay of Bengal has moved on north east direction and intensified into a Well Marked LPA over South West Andaman Sea.
Multispectral satellite animation is showing rotations of the LLCC(Low Level Cyclonic Circulation).
It is being located about 920km SSW of Yangon, Myanmar.

Winds(1min avg):-
Average Maximum Wind speed in radius of 50km from the low level center is 35km/h.
Gusting up to 45km/h.

Forecast:-
The System is under marginally favourable environment due to moderate VWS offsetting by Excellent Outflow & High SST.

•It could intensify into a Tropical Depression within next 24hrs. Further, few more intensification possible during subsequent 24hrs before the weakening trend starts while reaching South West Myanmar.

Due to land interaction combined with few unfavorable parameters, It could be weakened into into a Well Marked LPA while crossing Myanmar coast.

Movement:-
It has moved on NE direction during past 6hrs with the average speed of 12km/h.
*From the present location, it could move generally northward direction towards Southwestern Myanmar coast.

Landfall:-
It could cross South West Myanmar coast between Thandwe & Yangon by 22 March 2022.

Warning:-
Southern & Western Myanmar could experience 30 to 50kph winds with gusting up to 60kph between 21-22 March 2022.

Advisory:-
Fishermen & Small boats are requested to not to venture into the South-East, East Central Bay of Bengal & Andaman Sea during next 3-4days.
Sea condition could be rough to very rough over the region.

★Rainfall:-

Due to the direct impact of the system, South & South Western Myanmar could be effected by Heavy to Very Heavy rain between 20-22 March 2022.
